Yuri Zhirkov is ready for Finland

Despite being linked to a possible move to either Chelsea or Barcelona, CSKA Moskva’s Yuri Zhirkov is focused upon Wednesdays World Cup qualifier against Finland. When asked of a possible transfer from the Army-Men the twenty-five year-old attacking genius stressed his intent on representing Russia saying to Sports Express, “I am preparing for the coming match in Finland and try not filling my head with other things.”

Sizing up the opposition Finnish side he added:

“I do not think the match will be like the one in Moskova. (The) Finns will show a different kind of football on their home grounds. They will play more confidently and aggressively.”
