Russia Outlook For The 2010 FIFA World Cup

Hello to all, Nick here. I’m back and wanted to let all my readers know that I will be blogging from time to time here in the Russia blog.

First of all there were a lot of things that went on since I last blogged. Pavlyuchenko to Tottenham, Saenko to Spartak Moskva and numerous other transfers wich make the football world ever more interesting. I was very glad to hear Pavlyuchenko is now playing at a foreign club. I think it is a turning point in his career as he will able to develop in a different type of league. I just hope this will not be like with Kerzhakov who lost his place and form at Sevilla after Juande Ramos walked out.

Also Russia, is preparing to play Wales to open their 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualification at the Lokomotiv Stadium in Moscow. I think it will be a tight match as Russia and Wales have a bitter history dating back to Euro 2004. I will not make a prediction but I think it will be a very even match.
