Russian national team makes a comfortable win against Serbia (2:1). Pavel Pogrebnyak – best Russian striker at the moment – scored with a long range free-kick.
Unfortunately he twisted his knee soon. This could be a great loss for Russia because we haven’t a player to replace Pavel fully. Roman Pavlyuchenko is strong and good with airplay too but he can’t provide shoots like that. Roman Adamov can dribble well but he isn’t a finisher.
Pogrebnyak, who has already missed UEFA Cup final, will be out of training for a week. Then he’ll try to get fit for the first game against Spain.
