Dzagoev Could Move to a Big Club After Euro 2012? Maybe, Who Knows
Hello friends and fans, it looks like Bleacher Report are tipping Alan Dzagoev to move to a bigger club after Euro 2012. He is included in a list of eight players who are most likely to expand their careers with a big transfer to one of Europe’s top guns.
Dzagoev is sometimes referred to as the next Andrei Arshavin. Their playing styles are very similar and they occupy the same areas on the field. If played together on opposite wings, Arshavin and Dzagoev complement any attacking midfielder with effective width. Dzagoev has also proven himself as a center midfielder similar to Evgeni Aldonin and Pontus Wernbloom.
Assuming he does make it to Euro 2012 (lets not forget he is injured at the moment), puts on a good performance, and a tempting offer materializes, it would be sad to see him move to a club in Spain, Italy, Germany, or England and wind up on the bench. With the abroad stints of Pavluychenko, Kerzhakov, Arshavin, and Bilyaletdinov, there is a certain skepticism about Russian players playing outside the RFPL. Even Pavel Pogrebnyak who started brightly for Fulham, is getting more bench time than playing time.
